There are numerous theories suggesting that every civilization eventually reaches a point of demise or, at the very least, significant reduction, transformation, and oblivion. These theories are partially confirmed by some archaeological findings, indicating that in ancient times, our ancestors lived in highly organized societies at least in some parts of our planet. They were equipped with knowledge and abilities, many of which we still do not understand today. Yet, after a period of their glory, the inhabitants of historical metropolises disappeared under mysterious circumstances, their knowledge was forgotten, and evidence of their existence is being unearthed only now, after hundreds or rather thousands of years. Moreover, these evidences are often vague, as the powerful nature can take over many human creations in just decades, and after hundreds and thousands of years, we usually find only ruins, the true nature of which we rather fantasize about than can reconstruct with certainty. However, let's leave history aside, of which we are gradually becoming a part ourselves, and consider whether, how soon, and in what way our current civilization will perish, at least in the form as we know it? There have been many prophecies, so we will not attempt another guaranteed apocalyptic prediction. Instead, let's look at it with humor and exaggeration - we will offer humanity several solid ways to end it all in the foreseeable future, letting it choose the best path, while we remain in absolute peace and optimistically minded, knowing well that every end also means the beginning of something new :-)

In this category, articles will gradually be added offering these seven paths to successful demise:

Climate change and the crazy efforts to combat it
Democracy and humanism
Global conflict
Excess and prosperity, life without purpose
Virtual world and life in simulation
Artificial intelligence
Space threats (Sun, asteroids, and Starlink)

And that's the end…

So think about it, and most importantly - have fun and enjoy life, because regardless of civilization as a whole, none of us knows which day will be our last - and it would be a real shame to spend that last day in depression :-)
