Each of us surely daydreams at times and starts to imagine what it would be like if there were some amazing invention that could change the world… and many also wonder what it would be like if I were the one to come up with such an amazing invention :-) If we pause for a moment and look at our world, we might realize that there are a multitude of amazing inventions that make our lives easier every day, but also sometimes complicate them, starting with the sanitary facilities of toilets and bathrooms that we encounter right after waking up, through the automatic coffee maker, whose product truly brings us back to life, especially after a night spent with another great invention like the computer with the Internet. The list can then continue with a comfortable and fast car that transports us to the airport, from where we then fly even faster to previously unimaginable distances, where after landing we send a photo from the sun-soaked beach to all our acquaintances from our smartphone, while those on the other side of the world are freezing..., or actually not freezing thanks to clothing made of space materials, which withstands any bad weather and holds back so many meters of water column that we would have long drowned in it…

But still, or precisely because we are accustomed to constantly accepting new and new scientific miracles, we impatiently await the arrival of even greater and more sensational ones, all in the hope that one day we will not have to do anything and will have absolutely everything. Well, how would (it) look in the world if one of the previously predicted, well-known in sci-fi literature inventions suddenly appeared? This modest book will attempt to bring that closer to you... And I can assure you that one day at least one of the inventions published here will become reality and historians will write that there was once an author of dubious literary quality, who, however, already in the early 21st century was knowledgeable about the use of an invention that did indeed appear, but only a few centuries later, and thus the visionary nature of this author will be compared to such geniuses as Jules Verne :-)

To lend authenticity to the respective discussion on a given topic, we will always start with an 'article from contemporary media,' that is, a short announcement that was disseminated by the communication means used at the time of the publication of a particular invention. This will be followed by a description of the invention, acquainting you with its principles and use. Since our case is, in a way, a journey through time towards the future, each of the inventions also deserves a historical commentary, which will look at the future invention from today's critical perspective.
